ELECTRO MAGNETIC ENERGY GENERATOR PROJECT
OUR GOALS AND VISION
The Electro Magnetic Generator technology ( MG ) is our most famous invention that is currently undergoing its final stage of development – production modelling . The development work has been going since as early as 2006, when Andrii first discovered absence of cogging if permanent magnets are placed with a certain alignment to copper wire coils. For the past 14 years, this project has gone through a series of R&D stages with 2 dozens of prototypes and we managed to achieve tremendous results to this date. As of early 2020, after a series of prototypes we have sucessfully completed R&D work on our first production model of the 10kW magnetic generator – MG10.
The basic explanation of technical pronciples behind the MG technology is possible only with a non-conventional understanding of the electromagnetic force that is an essential element of this technology . Permanent magnets on a quantum level induce a magnetic field around them so when we move a magnet near a copper wire coil, it starts to push and pull electrons inside it. Moving electrons in the coil create an electric current that induces its own electromagnetic field, hence, making the coil an electromagnet. If the magnet is placed near the coil but not being moved, the coil won’t generate any current, so the coil can only become an electromagnet in the alternating magnetic field. That is why rotation of the rotor with magnets inside the MG’s stator with coils is necessary. When the magnet gets closer to the coil, voltage inside the coil also reaches its peak. At this point, a special transistor disconnects the coil from the circuit and all the accumulated energy in the form of electric current gets immediately self-induced changing its direction of flow and generating the back electromotive force (back EMF) – parasitic “voltage” that opposes the change in current which induced it. Depending on coil’s size and number of windings, the self – induced energy can be ten or even hundred times higher than the electric current that opposes its direction. This is when bifilar coils come into play as in a bifilar coil the opposing energy can be redirected away from the current flow through another wire and passed to the next coil which will get excited and will attract the magnet. Once voltage in the second coil reaches its peak, the transistor disconnects it from the circuit as well, the second coil will get self-induced too and its back EMF will again be redirected to the next coil so the process will continue repeatedly.
The revolutionary nature of the MG technology makes it one of the most controversal subjects in the renewable energy field. Since the early work of Nikola Tesla and for the past 150 years there have been many attempts to build a device with permanent magnets, a so – called perpetual motion machine. Complexity of this technology and numerous failures convinced most people in an absolute impossibility of its existence. In the real world, however, experimental observations are always ahead of scientific discoveries and are often conducted by those who reject conventional approach in studying the nature and refuse to follow the predetermined notion of our omniscience . And our success with the MG development is coming from our out-of-the-box thinking and conciliation with the fact that there is still so much we do not know and so many discoveries are waiting to be made. We do not claim that our MG technology is a perpetual motion machine, just like all mechanisms on the planet, it has its lifecycle period, its components will wear out and eventually break, we just aim to prolongate this period to make it seem “perpetual” during a course of a human life. In the scale of the universe, nothing is eternal and able to avoid insuperability of entropy.
The greatest advantage of the MG technology is embodied in its name – magnets, specifically, permanent magnets. Permanent magnets are constructed from materials made up of magnetic domains, in which atoms have electrons whose spins are aligned with each other. And this alignment is what makes strength of permanent magnets so seemingly everlasting. Modern neodymium or samarium-cobalt magnets take about 700 years to lose half their strength. On average though, permanent magnets naturally lose approximately 1% of their strength every 10 years if properlly maintained and not exposed to heat or impact. Throughout the evolution of our MG prototypes we have experimented with various magnets and their interraction with coils and, as visible in our photos, we achieved quite impressive results by making every next prototype more powerful and efficient than all previous models. In the MG10, we have utilized 40 extremely strong neodymium permanent magnets that are able to excite coils at 3,000rpm so the device is able to generate up to 10kWh of net power. In comparison, the latest prototype of 10kW capacity has 250 magnets being twice as big and working at much lower rpm. What we managed to verify throughout all these years running and testing our prototypes is that magnets to not seem to lose their magnetic characteristics even after an extensive use, for example, the latest prototype of MG was built in 2016 and for the past 4 years has accumulated over 5,000 operational hours. But all the magnets that remained in the device since their installation demonstrate excellent qualities as if they were new. This proves that even though magnets are an integral source of energy generation they do not drain their internal magnetism and do not require replacement even after 10 years of their use.
Magnets and coils are obviously not the only crucial elements in the MG technology, they are simply the hardware that generate and transmit power within the device. Many people experiment with magnets and coils in order to achieve surplus of energy generation but the biggest majority can never even loop the system for autonomous operation due to millions of wrong combination for every correct one. The most important component in our technology is the software, specifically the algorythms for switching regulations between coils and the method of compensating the back EMF. The pure symbiosis of magnets and coils is highly potential but at low alternating environment cannot demonstrate its full potential. Software architechture, however, is capable to perform thousands of operations per second which facilitate transformation of energy between coils and smooth down compensation of back EMF to nearly 100%. Software of the MG10 model is the most technologically sophisticated piece of intangible product we have ever worked on. At 3,000rpm software performs switching regulations at frequency of 115kHz, meaning that interactions between all coils occur over 100,000 times per second. And this is certainly not a limit, with further R&D work, more capable transistors and semiconductors, and overall technological advancements every next generation of MG will become smaller, lighter, more reliable and more efficient.
With all the advantages of the MG technology, this product has a potential to become one of the most universal utility in practically every industry in the world. As an R&D company behind such a revolutionary product, we foresee a paradigm shift in the world’s approach to energy generation and distribution. Most developed countries have been enjoying ease of access to energy for decades due to an established network of power plants, power transmission installations and urban connectivity. This all came at a great cost of externalitites associated with polluted air, CO2 emissions, and monopolistic behaviour of energy providers. Developing countries, on the other hand, are suffering from energy crisis explained by the lack of all those amenities, especially in remote areas where erecting power towers is either economically unprofitable or technologically too demanding. This is why this product will be extremely useful in both energy abundant and energy hungry regions of the world. So when we decided to undertake this task of building arguably the most important invention of the modern era, we promised to ourselves that we will take every effort of presenting the most technologically advanced product of our time, not just another half-working prototype.
This is why the MG10 development has been the most challenging work for us, and not just because its technology is extremely complex and sophisticated, but also due to high costs of engineering, design and construction associated with it. Since the beginning in summer 2018, overall amount we invested in this project so far has reached US$2mil. This is because during the R&D and testing process almost all parts of this device are manufactured in single units to test and verify their aplicability, and sometimes, if any defects or flaws are found, these same parts have to be re-manufactured again and again until they pass a quality control. The biggest contributor to the rising cost of development is labor and manufacturing cost. Korea is an export based country and most manufacturing companies are oriented towards economy of scale, meaning that it is more profitable to manufacture thousand of parts per day at an increadibly tiny margin rather than manufacture single parts for testing purposes. That is why in order to attract their interest in fulfilling our orders we have to dramatically overpay for their work for us, especially when it comes to using CNC equipment. During the R&D process many parts undergo several changes in its design, so with every new order they are manufactured slightly differently from their previous versions. Every such change, however, implies resetting the CNC equipment which brings additional cost to man-hours of its work. Another big contributor to the overall costs of MG10 development has been associated with hiring professional software engineers that brought this technology to a much higher level. The operational software of MG10 will enable end users to operate this machine as autonomously as possible. Such features as remote control via a smartphone, wireless connectivity for software updates, synchronization, etc. are all designed to make this technology adapt for everyday use in every household in the world, regardless of location and environment. In order to accomplish all that our engineers and developers have been spending countless hours of work that is still progressing to this date.
We, however, are determined to prepare this technology to mass production in order to initiate international commercialization. Experience with our partners and distributors and number of preorders we are tracking on our website all demonstrate that demand for this technology is extremely high across different countries and various industries.
